4th Nov-2018-Open Sydney presented by Sydney Living Museuems. This event every year allows Sydneysiders to visit 40 of the city's most significant buildings and spaces across the CBD. Interior of the ground floor of the old Commonwealth Bank Building in Martin Place.
The high ceilings are magnificant with intricate plasterwork and decorative cornices. The space is illuminated by an array of chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, casting a warm glow throughout the area. A neoclassical style draws inspiration from classical Greek and Roman architecture. An amazing elevator encased in transparent glass allowing passengers to enjoy panoramic views as they ascend and descend through the building.
